Just too lazy to update regularly. Here’s the summary since the last update: we’ve had 3 taco parties, 9 potlucks, 2 bonfires. Chris has smoked 5 tri-tips and Bobbie has had 17 on-field collisions. There have been two broken hearts and two new babies prepping for the 2035 starting line.
We’re still getting 7’s most days. Shooting for 5pm Sundays and Thursdays but in mid summer that usually slips a bit with the longer days.
Sundays 4pm, Thursdays 5pm. In theory.
Come half an hour later if you want to be part of the problem.
As per tradition we’re going to play at 10am for Thanksgiving day. We’ll have a special ginger guest as well!
Sunday games now start at 4pm because some of us like to play for more than 30 minutes. Sunset is just a bit after 6pm now.
According to Will cleats on by 4:15p or there will be comeuppances:
- Pre-game stretching will be forbidden
- Post-game beers prohibited
- Upside down throws result in automatic turnover.
- Laughter triggers team planking
Our games are temporarily paused while Kauai tries to flatten the COVID-19 curve. If I die you guys have permission to eat my flesh. Am lean, but well-marbled and come pre-marianated. Update April 12: Fuck this fucking virus. Update May 23: in the butt.
Disc on February 9 has been moved to Kealia beach for Laurie AKA āSparklcpantsāās birthday. There might still be some folks who donāt get the memo and show up at Lydgate but for the most part, any Sunday disc this week will be on the beach at Kealia. Weāll be back at Lydgate next weekend.

No Kalawai game this week as we’re all rallying this Sunday in Hanalei to bid a fond good riddance to one of our two gingers. We’ll miss you Daniel, you massive pervert.
Due to various alignments of the moon/stars, etc. there will be not much (if anything) happening this Sunday. Instead, thereās a beach ultimate game at Secrets Beach Saturday August 30 at 4pm. Next Sunday, September 7th is, of course, our monthly big game at Lydgate.
We’re trying to start a new tradition on the first Sunday of each month — beach ulty, hanging out and grilling at Grandpa’s beach after the usual game of Ultimate on the field. The last time we did this (for David and Ken’s sendoff) it was tons-o-fun because we are all such awesome people. ;-)
So, 4:00 pm at the Hanalei soccer fields for regular ultimate.
